HOLKHAM COUNTRY FAIR 2019

Norfolk Tractors & Spares organised the Tractor & Stationary Engine Display at the 2019 biennial fair which took place over the week-end of 20th & 21st July in the grounds of Holkham Hall on the North Norfolk Coast.   Exhibits included 56 Tractors and 28 Stationary Engines.  It was a very good turn-out for the first year for Kevin Rix from Norfolk Tractors, who organised the ‘stand’ with only five week’s notice with the help of his family and in particular Father-in-law; Godfrey, who worked all hours to help bring the display together.

Activities on the stand included a children’s colouring-in competition for a John Deere Pedal car – won by Reggie Talford aged 3 years, with Mihimiarino Walker aged 6 years (2nd) and Louie Colk aged 4 years (3rd)  both winning model Toy Tractors and a starring appearance of Norman The Norfolk Tractor for children to sit on. A number of tractors joined the Parade in the Main Ring on both days and the refreshment tent was kept busy, serving teas, coffees and biscuits to the drivers and exhibitors, where there was also a competition to guess the number of jellybeans in a jar (Saturday) won by Stephen Spencer, and number of jelly-babies in a jar (Sunday) won by Fred Turner.  The week-end ended with a “peg-number” raffle.
